Rif’s Pottery: Berber Women’s Art

Pottery is a heritage that demonstrates the unity of North Africa and its Berber heritage. It is an art reserved for women where they express their emotions, artistic sensations and talent.

PROGRAM

At 7: 30 our journey of discovery begins. We leave Chefchaouen city. We first start with a village known by the artistic talents of its Berber women. After one-hour drive, we arrive at Mrs. Aisha’s village, an old woman who transforms clay into lovely pots of pottery. She has inherited this art from her ancestors and she eagerly transmit to her children and visitors.
After learning how to create pottery pot, we leave towards Talassemtane guesthouse for a typical lunch. Afterwards we will go for a walk around the village. Around 5 we leave the village and return to Chefchaouen holding unforgettable impressions.
