Located in northwestern Morocco, the Chefchaouen Geopark covers 194,010 hectares (1,940.1 km²) and includes the Talassemtane National Park and the Ghomara Coast. This region is part of the Intercontinental Biosphere Reserve of the Mediterranean (RBIM) and has been recognized by UNESCO for its exceptional biodiversity and geological value.
The Geopark’s landscapes are a blend of limestone mountains, metamorphic rocks, and mantle formations that stretch along the Ghomara Coast, with roots submerged under the Mediterranean Sea.
